About The Authors
Hello families! Our purpose in writing this blog is to provide Tysons Campus Kid’s Quest parents & guardians with hot news, a look at what we’re teaching and suggestins for continued learning at home, the heart of our missions projects and the resulting impact, event and holiday information, opportunities to serve the ministry, and a sneak peek behind-the-scenes to learn the “why” behind some of our operations. This blog is one way we can be Orange partners with you. If there is a topic you would enjoy seeing addressed in a future post, feel free to email romney.short@mcleanbible.org.
Let’s introduce you to our blog authors:
Romney Short has been attending MBC since 1979 and serving on staff with Kid’s Quest since 1995. She is currently the Director of Operations and Starting Zone. Prior to joining Kid’s Quest she served as a volunteer for 10 years with Pioneer Girls Clubs and owes much of her passion for and knowledge of ministering to children to her experience in this wonderful organization. She also interned with MBC’s Student Ministries from 1993-1995, focusing on student leadership, and continues to value equipping and empowering youth to serve. She is married with two wonderfully energetic boys and lives the crazy life of adjusting for just about every kind of food and environmental allergy and managing the physical and mental special needs of one of her sons. She is also actively involved with her sons in Cub Scouts and an avid dog lover.
Caitlin Davis has been attending MBC and serving on staff with Kid’s Quest since 2008. She is currently the Staff Services Manager. She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Public Relations/Communications and is a former member and worship leader for the Campus Crusade for Christ ministry there. She loves working in Kid’s Quest because she believes there’s nothing sweeter than introducing kids to Christ and she enjoys seeing spiritual foundations being laid for a lifetime. She is married and has a zany, sweet miniature schnauzer named Roxy.
Andrea Arispe has been attending MBC since 2008 and serving on staff with Kid’s Quest since 2012. She is currently the Communications Administrator. She went to school for Communications Design and enjoys having the opportunity to use her graphic skills in Kid’s Quest. In her free time Andrea loves eating out and trying new restaurants, especially seafood and Italian. She has also been serving as a Kid’s Quest volunteer as a Saturday Kindergarten Small Group Leader since 2011 and loves her small group kids. They are truly a blessing to her and surprise her more and more each week with how much they already know and how strong their love for Jesus is.
