Thank You Shining Stars! June 1, 2012

“Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing. But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.” – Philippians 2:14-18
This weekend we are honoring all the Kid’s Quest Shining Stars who serve your children every week in Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary. They work hard to prepare lessons, organize fun activities to reinforce lessons, rehearse large group scripts, learn sound/tech cues, make props and costumes, clean toys and sheets, get ready to welcome kids, and pray for your children regularly. These volunteers include:
- Nursery Leaders & Assistants
- Toddler Leaders & Assistant
- Nursery/Toddler Toy Cleaners & Sheet Washers
- Preschool Storytellers, Puppeteers, & Tech Support
- Preschool Coaches, Small Group Leaders, & Apprentices
- Elementary Storytellers, Stage Techs, Prop/Costume Makers, & Video Support
- Elementary Hosts & Classroom Helpers
- Elementary Coaches, Small Group Leaders, & Apprentices
We’re so grateful for these Shining Stars and hope you are, too! This weekend, please take a moment to say thank you to all our wonderful Kid’s Quest volunteers. Tell your child’s leaders how much you appreciate them and their service to your family. In particular, they love hearing from you directly about how your child is growing spiritually and what they’re talking about at home.
