We Want To Help!

We want every child who walks through our doors to have a positive experience at McLean Bible Church where they can learn and grow. If you are the parent of a child with special needs, this is a concern you probably face daily – Will my child be comfortable in his environment? Will she be accepted by her peers? Will he be cared for appropriately? These are important concerns we in Kid’s Quest want to help you with.

If you have a child with special needs* who you feel should be able to participate in Kid’s Quest, we have a intake process we would like you to partake in. We have been testing this intake process with a few elementary families and are pleased to roll it out more formally now for all of our Kid’s Quest families.

Our intake process includes completion of a form (links below) to share with us your child’s specific needs and conversations with a Kid’s Quest leader to discuss how our programming works, potential challenges that may arise, and accomodations that can be made to help your child receive appropriate care, learn about Jesus, and have fun with peers.

If coming to Kid’s Quest for the first time, you will be asked to accompany your child for the day while we initiate the intake process. This enables us to prepare our leaders appropriately for when you return. As most of you reading this are likely already attending Kid’s Quest, this would not apply to you. But we do highly encourage you to complete the intake form if it applies, even if you’ve been attending Kid’s Quest for several years. Good communication between us strengthens our ability to partner successfully to make an impact on your child’s spiritual growth.
