With Thanks, From Kid’s Quest December 30, 2010
Posted by rshort in : 5-Holidays , comments closedAs the new year approaches the Kid’s Quest staff would like to first, thank God for His many blessings in 2010 and second, thank all of you who have been a part of our ministry in some way. We are so grateful for all of you families who attend each week and give us the opportunity to speak God’s Word into your lives. We look forward to strengthening the bond between us, church and family, that enable us to have a greater influence on the spiritual growth of the next generation.
We are also very thankful for you many faithful servants who give your time and talents every week. Whether you are on the front lines or behind-the-scenes, your service is so very much appreciated! And even when we sometimes fail in our human ways to always recognize everything you do for the ministry, nothing goes unnoticed by God and His rewards for you are rich and everlasting. We look forward to growing in our relationships with you and continually building our skills together to increase our effectiveness.
And a big thank you to all of you ministry friends who have supported us through your prayers, your encouraging words, your gifts of resources or finances, or your partnership, supporting us through your own ministries. Thank you for your kindness.
We look forward to praising God with you for all that He will do for us and through us in 2011. Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year!
With thanks, from Kid’s Quest
P.S.

Remembering Easter April 6, 2010
Posted by rshort in : 5-Holidays , add a commentWhat an amazing Easter we had - so many activities to enrich us and celebrate that Jesus is alive! We kicked off the season with 650 kids and adults at The Rock That Rolled Family Easter Party on Friday, March 26. The kids had so much fun and enjoyed a great show with Green Bird and Yellow Bird which included a Gospel message. Click the image below for pictures from the event.

On March 27/28 our Preschoolers through 5th Graders participated in a Palm Processional like Jesus’ triumphal entry we read about in Matthew 21. It was quite a sight seeing all our kids jumping up and down and shouting “Hosanna!” along with the congregation. Enjoy video and pictures from the processional.

On Maundy Thursday, April 1, we learned about Christ in the Passover and on Easter Weekend, April 3/4, we celebrated our risen Lord! Many visiting families attended MBC for the first time. It has been our prayer for all our families that these events may serve as catalysts for continuing spiritual conversations at home about why we celebrate Easter and how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you’d like to learn how to talk to your kids about Jesus and how to present the Gospel in a clear, easy to grasp manner, consider bringing your family to Starting Zone. Our next round of classes will return in the fall.
