Game On! July 9, 2011

Are your kids itching to explode the fun meter and get their summer energy out?
Bring them to Game Night for Kindergartners through 5th Graders on Friday, August 5, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm (this is a drop off event – check-in opens at 5:00 pm). Your kids will get moving with the most rockin’ games we’ve ever assembled:
- Dodge Ball
- Builders & Bulldozers
- Parachute Play
- Relay Action
- Capture The Flag
But that’s not all…we’re presenting a Bible message and providing pizza for dinner, too! Tickets cost just $5 each. Purchase tickets in advance at Ticket Central on weekends (starting July 16/17) or online at mbctysons.org/kqevents (starting today).
We highly encourage inviting your friends and neighbors with elementary kids. In fact, we’ll give you a discount on the ticket price. Bring a friend (non-siblings) for just $3 more – what a deal! Note: if you purchase your own tickets before a friend says yes, you can add them later for the $3 price by calling 703-770-3831.
So grab a friend and a pair of running shoes and we’ll bring on the fun!
Got questions or want to volunteer to join the fun? Contact Marcy Davis at 703-639-2000, x1012 or marcy.davis@mcleanbible.org.

Promotion Weekend is Here!
Little Adventurers who are or will be 3 years old by Sept 30, 2011 through completed 4th graders move up to new classes THIS WEEKEND, July 9/10.
Family Enrollment Forms: If MBC is your church home and you have not previously enrolled, go to mbctysons.org/kqenroll and click on the link for the online enrollment or pick up a Family Enrollment Form at check-in. Not sure if you’re enrolled? If you are already enrolled you should have a permanent plastic key tag with your emergency LED number on it. The LED number is how we notify you during services of an emergency involving your child – memorize it! If you just need to update your family’s current info, pick up a Family Update Card at check-in or go to mbctysons.org/kqenroll to download and print one to return to a Greeter at check-in.
Class Location Maps: Your child may be moving to a new floor. Pick up a map at check-in stations to be sure of where you’re headed. If you need assistance getting to your new location, ask a Check-in Greeter for an escort.
Elementary Small Groups: If your Kindergarten through 5th Grade child is already enrolled and you consistently attend a service time, your child can be placed in a permanent Small Group (meeting with the same leader and children every week). Click here to sign up for a Small Group. Please note that it can take 6-8 weeks to form new groups.

Enrollment for 2011-2012 Awana Club opens July 1. Awana* is a program for youth 3-18 years old that focuses on learning God’s Word in a fun atmosphere. Each week, Awana provides consistent, positive teaching and training that stresses strong moral and spiritual values. Our clubbers learn about the reality of God and the truth of the Bible. Awana meets on Sunday evenings, September 25 through May 6, 2011, 5:00 pm – 6:45 pm. Dues are $45 per child if enrolled by July 31; $50 if enrolled between August 1-31, and $55 anytime after.
Click here for complete enrollment information and to download an Enrollment Form from the website or pick one up at church on the Kid’s Quest Information Walls. Drop completed form and dues payment in the yellow mailbox located outside of Volunteer Central, across from the MBC Café on the 2nd floor or mail back to the church at:
Kid’s Quest – Awana
P.O. Box 9300
McLean, VA 22102
Children are considered enrolled when all dues are paid, all forms are submitted, and there are enough volunteers to staff the classroom. Regular weekly Awana volunteers are guaranteed placement. All others are on a first-come, first serve basis. If classes are full, children are placed on a waiting list. Limited half-price cholarships may be available; please contact us. If you have any questions, email us at awana@mcleanbible.org.
*Awana stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” from 2 Timothy 2:15
